We have not yet followed up with the first wave of school leavers. We will do so in Spring '07. We are contemplating doing a purposeful sampling of students whose anticipated manner of exit in Spring of '06 was dropping out.

The SEA Transition Coordinator is responsible for Indicators 1, 2, and 13. The State Improvement Grant Transition Director is responsible for Indicator 14. These two personnel work together to implement the indicators via Kentucky’s Transition Core Team and Regional Transition Consultants, with their collective work reflected in the SPP.
Kentucky is still in the early stages of post-school outcome system development. To date, we have developed an in-school transition survey, which was given to all exiters with IEPs in Spring of '06. We have anlayzed that data and are in the process of finalizing state, regional, and local reports. We anticipate our One Year Out survey instrument being completed after the first of the year, at which time training on it's use will be provided. A representative sample of students who exited in Spring '06 will be followed up with beginning in Spring '07.
